DAYCAMP 2010

A Blast to the Past!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE…We would like to request that all leaders give their girls the opportunity to register for daycamp, so please distribute all
Blast to the Past! forms to Girl Scouts and their parents as soon as possible.

In the past, some leaders have not distributed the forms
because they could not, or did not want to, attend camp.

It is not a requirement that leaders attend daycamp.
Leaders may designate a parent to complete the daycamp packet
and/or attend the daycamp for their troop.

Yorba Linda Program Center
  • Daycamp packets will be distributed at the Yorba Linda Program Center.
  • They will be available during your SUM
  • Packets not picked up will be given to the Lead Organizers

  • Check your numbers when you pick up your packet.
  • If you need more forms, we will give them to you.
  • If you have too many, please leave them for others.
  • There will be additional forms available at the Program Center after Feb. 8.
Registration Turn-in Deadline

Thursday, March 25, 2010

  • All packets need to be turned in on this turn-in night.
  • All youth staff applications need to be turned in on or before this night.
  • It will be on a drop-in basis from 6:30-8:00
    You may designate another parent to do this, but make sure that all forms are filled out correctly and completely, or they will not be accepted.
  • NO PACKETS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TURN-IN NIGHT.
  • No add-ons or substitutions will be accepted.

Youth Staff Training

  • If this is your THIRD year as youth staff, your training will be from 1-2 OR 4-5.
  • If you are new, or have only volunteered for one year, your training will be from 2-5.
  • At 6:00 all youth staff are invited to return for dinner and a sleepover.

  • This training is required for all five-day volunteers.
  • 6:45-9:00pm if you have not worked the Yorba Linda Daycamp for the past two years
  • 8:00-9:00pm if you have worked the Yorba Linda Daycamp at least the past two years
  • This training is optional for part time volunteers.
