BOOTHS:
Each troop will host a booth on a country of their choice. Here’s what you’d need to do:
1) Choose 3 countries (first, second, and third choice) countries will be assigned on a first-come,first-served basis.
2) Once you have your country, start the research! Put together some kind of display this can be a poster, items that are representative of the country, toys, games, etc.
3) Make a flag for your country for our parade of flags (at least 18” x 24”, any material).
4) Consider a simple and inexpensive snack to share.
5) Consider sharing a game, song, dance or activity with the group. (No longer than 4 minutes due to 5 minute rotations)
6) Have some sort of sticker for the girls’ passport as a reminder they visited your country (size no larger than 1 inch X 1 inch) this year NO stamps for the passports.

WHEN YOU GET TO THE EVENT:
•    You’ll have from 1:15 – 1:30 p.m. to set up your display and send 1 adult to check in the troop.
•    Plan on having half of the girls and one adult stay at the display at all times (The girls can rotate shifts so they can visit other displays). Be sure to provide proper adult/girl ratios!
•    Each booth will have 5 minutes to give information about their countries. Rotations will be announced every 5 minutes.
•    In between rotations there will be a 30 minute special performance from our very own Girl Scout Comrades!
•    We will be having an opening ceremony and closing ceremony for the event.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
To register for this event, complete the registration form and send it with your payment (payable to GSCOC YLSU 1) with 2 signatures troop checks by January 14, 2012.

You will receive your country verification after you register. Remember the best way to receive your country of choice is to register ASAP.
