Yorba Linda Junior Scouts Earn Bronze Award

Sixty-nine Yorba Linda Girl Scouts earned the Girl Scout Bronze Award, the highest honor a Junior Girl Scout can earn.

This requires her to learn the leadership and planning skills necessary to follow through on a project that makes a positive impact on her community. Working toward this award demonstrates her commitment to helping others, improving her community and the world, and becoming the best she can be.

Hello to Ali Wilkes - Our New VSS

aliYorba Linda welcomes one of our own - Ali Wilkes as the new Northeast Area Volunteer Support Specialists (VSS). Ali was a volunteer with the Yorba Linda Girl Scouts for 5 years in the capacity of troop leader, day camp committee member and volunteer, registrar and most recently Service Unit Manager for YL4. We are thrilled she is our new VSS!

 

 


Goodby to Lesley Finch - Our Outgoing VSS


lfinchWe loved having Lesley as our VSS and we are sorry to say goodbye. The good news is that Lesley will still be working with our volunteers in the position of Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) Specialist II.  As part of the GSLE Team, Lesley wiill work with volunteers to provide quality programs for girls in the North Area and all of Orange County.

We feel very lucky to have both Lesley and Ali in our corner as they are not just terrific Girl Scouts they are wonderful people. We wish them both great success in their new GSCOC positions.

On Monday, May 17th, sixty-four Yorba Linda Girl Scouts received either their Gold or Silver Award. This is the largest group of award recipients in Yorba Linda history. These nineteen Gold Award Recipients and forty-five Silver Awards Recipients exemplify the very best of Girl Scouting. Congratulation ladies! - We are very, very proud of you!
